Directly below the settlement terrace of Soglio, a public parking area is intended to relieve the historic village center. Like the geometrized baroque gardens wrested from the topography, it is inserted into the terrain as an artificial surface. A wall encloses the site and forms the spatial vessel. An attached small structure and the pedestrian staircase anchor the parking level and integrate it into the typology of peripheral garden facilities. The roof of the parking deck is detached from the enclosing wall and placed as a table in the container. Minimally supported, haunches span the wide space. The recessed, curved metal drainage channels relate to the baroque ironwork of the palazzi and gardens.
